Our promise to you
As a valued client, we will always endeavour to treat you with the utmost respect and work with you if any issues arise to find a mutually acceptable solution.
At any point you may ‘opt out – delink’ from our services. We will send you the relevant information for you to complete this process with Inland Revenue (IRD).
We will only charge you a fee where we have undertaken work in preparation of your tax donation rebate claim.
Please be aware that IRD may require you to submit an IR3 tax return before releasing your donation rebate. Late filing of the IR3 may result in delays to your rebate being released. This is outside of the control of TMNZ.
We will not send you unsolicited marketing emails but will send you service-related emails, even if you unsubscribe from receiving marketing emails.
We will always act fairly and honourably in our preparation of your donation rebate. If it is deemed an error on the part of TMNZ, and this has caused a debt at IRD, we will work with you to remedy the situation.
If an error is found, we will acknowledge our responsibility in this situation, fully investigate where an error had been made and provide full details to you. If the error is caused by TMNZ, we will take all reasonable steps to resolve the situation. If we cannot, we will reimburse you for any payment you may be obligated to make as a result of our error (but only to the extent that the payment obligation arose as a result of our error).
We will always act to meet the obligation of the Consumer Guarantees Act, Fair Trading Act and Advertising Standards Authority Guidelines.
I hereby authorise TMNZ to obtain any information – by phone, internet, fax, mail, email or e-services – that is necessary for TMNZ to perform the services requested. This may include all available information from IRD and/or any relevant information from charities regarding donations made by you.
I acknowledge that submitting this application/registration authorises TMNZ to submit an application to IRD for any donation rebates owed to me over the last three or four years and link with IRD as my tax agent for donations until the process is complete, and gives authority to act for the relevant tax year and on an ongoing until I notify TMNZ otherwise.
I warrant that all information I have provided TMNZ is true and correct and that I have supplied all information required.
I give full permission for TMNZ to sign donation rebate claim forms on my behalf (as agent) if it deems it necessary to do so.
Fees and charges
I have read the fees structure and agree to these fees being deducted from my rebate. If I do not have a donation rebate of more than the agreed fee, TMNZ will retain the rebate to cover costs.
If IRD requires you to submit an IR3 tax return, then your donation rebate will not be processed until after the IR3 is processed.
I acknowledge that TMNZ will receive any refunds due to me on my behalf and can deduct any monies owed to TMNZ.
If my rebate is not paid through the TMNZ trust account, I confirm that I will remain liable to TMNZ for the fee which would be otherwise paid in processing of my donation rebate and will pay the fee within seven days of receipt of invoice. This could be because I changed tax agents, dealt directly with IRD, had my rebate taken by IRD for an existing debt or another reason. I agree to be responsible for any costs incurred in the collection of unpaid fees.
I understand that TMNZ may change its fee structure at any time on 10 days’ notice to me. TMNZ may change the fees in the future, however you will never pay a fee higher than the one that applied when you made that year’s donations rebate application. As per above, you can opt out of our service at any time.
For processing donations, we will charge a small administration fee based on the rebate amount per tax year.
- Rebates between $1-50 = no fee
- Rebates between $51-120 = $10 fee
- Rebates $121+ = $20 fee
Please note If customers wish to amend a previously filed donation rebate claim, we will charge a $20 amendment fee for each tax year.
I authorise TMNZ to:
- Collect, retain and use any information about me for the purpose of marketing products and services to me;
I understand that I have the right to request TMNZ for a copy of the information about me retained by TMNZ and the right to request TMNZ to correct any incorrect information about me held by TMNZ.
All service-related emails to me will be sent to the email address provided by me at registration. I understand that TMNZ expects to be notified of any change in my contact details. Where no email is provided, communication will be via mail or phone to the address and phone details provided by me at registration.
I hereby provide consent for TMNZ to contact me for all service-related reasons by electronic message, phone or mail. These cannot be unsubscribed from as they relate to services specific to your account.
I hereby provide my consent for TMNZ to contact me for marketing purposes by electronic message. TMNZ only sends messages to those who choose to receive them and therefore, if you would not like to receive future electronic messages from us, please use the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of our email or contact us on 09 520 8929 or email@example.com.
If provided, I consent to TMNZ validating the authenticity of my driver’s licence and/or passport through a third party.
The security and protection of your private information is of the utmost importance to us at TMNZ.
We value your privacy and will never give, lease, sell or otherwise disclose your personal information. Any information you give to TMNZ will be held with the utmost care. Resale or disclosure of information to third parties
TMNZ does NOT sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease any personal information collected by our website, including application forms, download requests or email lists. However, to be able to provide the services we, do we need to share your data with our trusted third parties for identification verification. This includes confirming any details of the donations you’ve made with the organisations to whom you have donated to (charities/schools etc.), for the purpose of processing your donation rebate claim form with IRD.
Cookie and tracking
Any information which TMNZ gathers from cookies is collected for the sole purpose of improving our offering and developing our services to best suit your needs. Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically. However, you can change your browser settings so as to be notified when cookies are being sent, decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or decline cookies or exclude them altogether. However, in this case, you may not be able to make full use of some areas or features of this website.
Security of your data
We will securely store and protect any private data we have in regards to the preparation of your donation rebate by securing storing and protecting your data using industry best practise solutions. These include protecting our website with Extended Security Certificates (using state-of-the-art SES-128-GCM encryption), storing your data in a 24/7 secure centre in New Zealand and training all our staff in the importance of maintaining confidentiality of client information.
Retention of your data
New Zealand law states that we must retain copies of your personal data for up to seven years. Information no longer required is disposed of by secure destruction.
Privacy of your data
TMNZ ensures that all client information is held as private and confidential. Information collected in writing and/or verbally for donation rebate services can and may be used for internal auditing purposes by TMNZ, provided to IRD for external auditing purposes, used for the purpose of third party identity verification with approved organisations such as Veda, and shared with nominated donee organisations for the purposes authorised by you.
Privacy of our email lists
Individuals applying online are added to our email database using the forms provided on this website. We do not sell, rent loan, trade, or lease the addresses on our lists to anyone.
We strive to only send email to those who want to receive it. If you would not like to receive future marketing emails from us, please use the ‘unsubscribe’ link located at the bottom of our email.
Access to your data
You will be able to view all your data and communications with us via your TMNZ/Donations account on the website once this software has been completed. In the meantime, we can provide this information via email communications to email@example.com.
By completing your application for a donation rebate service you are appointing TMNZ as your tax agent for donation rebate purposes until further notice. If you change your mind or wish to revoke that appointment, you can advise us at any time that you no longer want TMNZ as your tax agent for donations rebates. If you choose to remove TMNZ as your tax agent for donation rebates after we have advised you of your expected rebate (when we have completed the application process), you will be liable for payment of our fee.
